About the Position
Grillska Gymnasium in Uppsala is seeking a substitute teacher for the Child and Recreation Program, specializing in leisure and health. Your tasks will include teaching program-specific courses such as Health Pedagogy, Exercise Science, and Massage. The assignment also involves being a mentor for a class in the program. We prefer candidates with a background in sports and experience leading young people.
As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for planning instruction, with a basic framework provided by the regular teacher.
Our schools work with learning and development within shared focus areas. These areas fall under three headings: pedagogy, health, and social engagement. We develop approaches that, according to scientific research and proven experience, have a positive impact on the learning situation, work on student health, and prepare our students to enter the world with strong social commitment.
Our lessons are cohesive and long, ranging from 120-180 minutes of instruction time. Lessons follow a structure with clear goals and purposes and vary in approach.

Qualifications
A high school diploma is required. Higher education is not mandatory but is meritorious. Previous experience with similar or related assignments is also advantageous.
