Teacher for After-School Care Wanted at Tegelhagens School We are currently seeking a primary school teacher for after-school care for our after-school program for grade 1. The school has a developed approach to digital technology. We operate in a modern new school building, where the school and after-school activities collaborate. We have high expectations for our students, who are challenged in their knowledge development in various ways. In addition to digital competence, we place great emphasis on movement, outdoor education, and outdoor life. The school actively works to develop pedagogical practices, and during the past school year, the after-school program has been reorganized to align even more closely with the school’s vision of safety, community, and learning. The educators in after-school care collaborate across grade boundaries. The majority of the educators in after-school care are primary school teachers specialized in after-school programs. The school has a student health team that includes three special education teachers, a school nurse, a school psychologist, a counselor, a career advisor, two assistant principals, and a principal, as well as collaboration with Sollentuna Municipality's school and family team. The school is Olweus certified, which means it has a structured and continuous preventive anti-bullying program. Job Responsibilities As a student in Tegelhagens School's after-school program, students should feel comfortable, safe, and challenged to participate in a diverse range of activities based on the Lgr 22 curriculum and the students' wishes. You will work in an after-school program and collaborate with all the school’s educators. Together with colleagues, you will develop the program to be the very best for our students. We strive for a working method that is structured, planned, and well anchored in governing documents. During school hours, you will collaborate with teachers, and in the afternoon, you will work in the after-school program, creating a meaningful after-school experience for the students together with your team. Our focus on outdoor education means that you should enjoy working outdoors to thrive at the school. Organizing and implementing good recess activities is an essential part of the job, and we would appreciate previous experience in this area. If you can spark students' curiosity for activities, create positive relationships with students and guardians, and collaborate with colleagues for development purposes, then this is the position for you! Qualifications We are looking for a university-educated primary school teacher with a focus on after-school care who wants to participate in and drive the development and take responsibility for our after-school program, preferably with a focus on sports, as sports education is part of the role. You have the ability to encourage and inspire our students to dare to try new activities and are clear and structured in your leadership. You enjoy collaborating and have a holistic view of the operations. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop the after-school program based on the curriculum, with a focus on learning and safety in after-school care.
