Due to an upcoming parental leave, we are now seeking an Innovation Advisor for a temporary position of approximately 10 months to join our fantastic team at Chalmers Grants and Innovation Office. About Chalmers Grants and Innovation Office Chalmers Grants and Innovation Office (GIO) assists researchers, educators, and students in initiating and catalyzing processes so that the knowledge created at Chalmers can be utilized sustainably in society. We work in the early phases of the innovation chain, providing advice on research collaboration, open innovation, intellectual property rights, financing, licensing, and opportunities for starting companies or engaging users in other ways. GIO is part of the Department of Research, Innovation, and Collaboration Support. We work closely with Chalmers management, the rector's office, Chalmers Ventures, and vice-deans for utilization, but most importantly, with the researchers at Chalmers. About the Position As an Innovation Advisor, you will be in direct contact with researchers, educators, and students at Chalmers. Your mission is to provide support in the form of advice and contribute to the development of methods and practices for utilization. You will identify and evaluate how research-based knowledge can serve as a basis for new processes, methods, services, and products primarily intended for use outside of academia. The group collaborates and shares experiences and competencies to create maximum benefit. As a temporary replacement, you will have the chance to contribute your engagement and ideas directly to the ongoing work – creating value together with colleagues, while gaining valuable experience in Chalmers' innovation environment. Your Profile To be considered for the position, a minimum of 12 months of experience as an Innovation Advisor is required. You should have a higher education degree. Additionally, it is preferable if you have a technical academic background in any of the areas of digitalization/AI, materials, life sciences, or renewable energy. You are independent, structured, and have an easy time collaborating with various types of people. You thrive on driving work from idea to result and possess a good ability to prioritize. You need to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing. Knowledge of utilization, open innovation, intellectual property rights, entrepreneurship, or experience working with startups and SMEs is advantageous. Significant emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Employment Form This is a full-time temporary position for approximately 10 months with the possibility of some overlap at the beginning of the period for orientation. The position is based at the Grants and Innovation Office at Chalmers in Gothenburg.
