Temporary Childcare Assistant for Preschool

Ålsta Preschool and Primary School is located in the expansive Barkarbystaden area. At the beginning of the 2023/24 school year, we moved into our newly built preschool/school. The preschool has existed since 2013 and has 215 children divided into 6 units. Each unit has a toddler section and a pre-school section that collaborate with each other. The school section started in autumn 2020 and is continuously expanding. Preschool and school share facilities and have a collaboration that strives for a common thread from 1-year-olds to primary school students. Our preschool/school has an on-site kitchen with a chef. We have close leadership from the principal and deputy principal who, with a clear vision, work together with educators towards ambitious goals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking both monthly and hourly temporary staff. As an hourly temporary staff at our preschool, you will be asked to work when needed, supporting during staff illness and leave. Additionally, there may be needs during longer leave periods. As a monthly temporary staff, you will work with the team to plan and implement education in a way that promotes children's development, health, and well-being. Your assignment involves meeting all children with personal respect and providing each child with conditions to develop trust and confidence. Everyone working in the preschool should show respect for the individual and contribute to creating a democratic climate. You will collaborate with families and create trusting relationships with both parents and work colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS - You must have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. - We want you to have experience working in a preschool. - You should be flexible, initiative-taking, and easily collaborate and interact with children, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive and smooth manner, communicate, and handle conflicts constructively. - You can easily adapt to changing circumstances. Able to quickly change your perspective and approach. - You are positive, responsible, and engaged. - Calm and controlled in stressful situations. Maintain a realistic perspective on situations and focus on the right things. - We place great emphasis on personal suitability for temporary work. Meritorious: - You are trained and experienced as a childcare worker. You have experience working with children with neuropsychiatric disorders.
