About this role
Östersund Municipality, Department of Children and Education, is seeking a temporary Childcare Worker for Preschool Stadsdel Norr, at 100%.
Start date: January 7 or by agreement until June 30, with a possibility of extension.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who wants to join us in continuing to improve our preschool!
Stadsdel Norr is a preschool with space for 72 children. Our preschool is an inspiring workplace where we focus on the child. We work process-oriented to make children's learning visible and use pedagogical documentation as a tool. We believe that all children can and want to learn, and they should be in an environment where they have the opportunity to use and develop their skills.
We strongly emphasize collaboration and everyone's opportunity for participation, both for children and educators. The preschool's learning environments are important; they are changeable and open, contributing to an enjoyable and challenging education.
You are expected to develop trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Through shared collegial reflections, we engage with each other's thoughts and grow in our profession.
For us, it is important that you, who wish to work as a childcare worker with us, feel curiosity about your role.
Qualifications
Required
• We expect you to be a trained childcare worker.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious
• Previous professional experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the preschool's governing documents and the ability to implement them in daily work.
• Computer proficiency.
We are looking for you...
We are seeking someone who, with creativity and pedagogical insight, wants to work alongside preschool teachers to create an inspiring learning environment for the children. You have a natural ability to build good relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians, and you see collaboration as an essential part of the educational work.
As a co-researching educator, you meet the children's curiosity with engagement and a desire to explore together. You are flexible, proactive, and confident in your work, contributing to driving the operations forward and creating a safe, fun, and educational everyday life. With good judgment and a reflective approach, you make wise decisions in daily work and contribute to positive development for both children and the team.
We offer you continuing education and professional development, as well as support from special educators.
