Job Vacancy: Substitute Preschool Teacher
We are seeking a substitute teacher to work 19 hours/week on a scheduled basis. Opportunity exists to work additional hours during regular staff absences.
Our preschool is run by a foundation and located in Kungsholmen, central Stockholm. The preschool has 50 enrolled children, divided into age-based smaller base groups. We occupy two floors in the building, with a large roof terrace and a small courtyard. We are close to Pontonjärsparken, which we visit almost daily. We consider outdoor activities and physical movement an important part of education. We place great emphasis on good interactions and ensuring all children feel seen, secure, and validated daily.
The preschool has its own chef and a high competence level with 50% preschool teachers and 50% childcare workers. We work with a consistent sustainability perspective, with UN global goals at the focus of our various projects. This academic year, we have chosen the focus area "Play and Well-being".
Your task will be to, together with experienced colleagues, ensure we offer an education that is both fun, enjoyable, and aligned with the preschool curriculum. You will work with two preschool teachers and a childcare worker in a group of 22 children aged 3-5 years.
Our approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia child perspective. Curiosity and a desire to learn are qualities we expect you to possess.
We seek someone with good collaboration skills who understands the importance of teamwork where everyone's experience is crucial to providing children with fun, enjoyable, and high-quality education. You must be fully proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. We place significant importance on personal suitability and how you can complement our wonderful team with your specific competence.
Duration: 26/01/12 - 26/06/30 with potential extension
Salary: Hourly wage, collective agreement applies
