About this role

Study Counselor At the Department of Biology and Environmental Science (BioEnv), educational and research activities span from mountain ecosystems, through forests, land, and waterways, all the way to the sea. In these environments, we work across different biological organizational levels from genes, through individuals and populations, to communities and ecosystems. We work within ecology, evolution, physiology, systematics, and combinations of these fields to understand the significance of natural and human-induced environmental changes. The department operates in two locations: GU's facilities in Natrium at Medicinaregatan 7B in Gothenburg and the Kristineberg Marine Research Station operated by the Marine Infrastructure at the University of Gothenburg. The current position is located in the Natrium facilities. Job Responsibilities The tasks involve study counseling and some administration within undergraduate and advanced education in environmental science and biology. Qualifications You have a study counselor degree or other academic education that the employer deems relevant, such as a degree in biology, environment, or a related field, and at least one year of experience in study counseling.
