Recreation Leader for Open Youth Activities

Do you want to help shape the future of young people while utilizing your project management skills? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated youth leader with strong social competence and a passion for promoting youth participation and influence. Your New Job

In this role, your primary task is to create and maintain strong relationships with the youth. By promoting and supporting their active participation in the planning and implementation of projects and activities, you help them develop. You will work with the target group aged 13-18 to create meaningful activities and build relationships.

It is essential to create an atmosphere of openness and respect where young people feel free to express themselves and take initiatives. You will also be responsible for structured documentation and clear communication.

A vital part of your role is to conduct evaluations and reflections together with the youth and colleagues to continuously improve the operations and its effectiveness, contributing to a more meaningful and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Your Profile

Experience working with young people and a strong belief in their ability to take responsibility and drive positive change are central qualities for this role. Your ability to create and maintain strong relationships is crucial. You can build trust and foster participation, which is the key to success in this position.

The work is very hands-on, and you need to be an active person who enjoys being active and conducting activities with youth.

Your fundamental understanding of project methodology and how organized leisure can serve as a protective factor are valuable assets. You communicate empathetically and inclusively, and you have the ability to motivate and inspire young people to take responsibility for their choices and lives.

Your ability to act as a good role model and demonstrate strong ethical awareness is of great importance. Additionally, you have a clear ability to separate work and private life and show a humble and unpretentious attitude.

It is an advantage if you have a B driver's license and a requirement that you have education as a recreation leader, social pedagogue, social worker, or other education deemed equivalent and relevant by the employer. Experience working with the KEKS network is a merit. Being creative and innovative are also appreciated qualities in this role.
