About this role
Job Description
We are now seeking an additional unit manager for our Assistance Unit in Partille Municipality.
Our previous unit manager has retired after many years with the unit. The Assistance Unit is large, and moving forward, we will have two unit managers. The first was recruited before the summer and is now in place. Now it's time for the next person; could you be the one we are looking for?
You will be part of the management team within the Assistance and Health Department and lead in a shared leadership role with your closest colleague, as well as with the other five managers within the department. Our management team is characterized by warmth and camaraderie, focusing on sustainable leadership, a lack of pretentiousness, and high engagement. The role includes responsibility for authority exercise, development and quality issues, individual personnel responsibilities with development conversations, rehabilitation, recruitment, health and work environment efforts, as well as management of the budget and personnel economy for the unit.
We are looking for someone motivated by development work as we have many exciting projects underway. As a manager, you will have significant opportunities to influence, and your input will be sought after as you see collaboration as a natural part of your work!
Qualifications
We seek candidates with a relevant higher education degree. It is advantageous if you have several years of experience as a manager within an authority, and experience with the target groups is appreciated. Experience from larger change initiatives or change management is also considered a plus, as well as experience with collaboration more broadly.
You thrive in building strong relationships both within and outside the administration and can balance the best interests of the operation with the overall picture in various situations. You demonstrate good judgment, empathetic capability, and show respect in your interactions with others. Furthermore, we are looking for someone eager to advance our development efforts and who is not afraid to try new approaches.
Last but not least, we seek someone who feels secure in their professional role. Your leadership style is characterized by clear and coaching communication. You involve and empower your team members, fostering an open climate. As a leader, you also have the ability to make decisions when required and see collaboration as a natural part of your work with others. You lead through trust-based leadership and encourage your team to grow.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for this position!
