We are seeking a personal assistant for a 12-year-old boy with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. He lives at home with his family. The role involves being actively engaged and imaginative with him at all times. He is very energetic and needs stimulation both in indoor and outdoor environments. The work includes days filled with laughter and play, but also times when your role is to manage challenging situations. Therefore, it is important to always be attentive to his well-being and to be adaptable in different environments.
In this position, you will also support him with all daily tasks, which includes helping with household chores. The role encompasses assisting and supporting with meals, bathing, personal hygiene, communication, and more.

Prior experience working with autism and challenging behavior is an asset. A requirement is that you have the ability to read situations and the well-being of the individual you are assisting and act accordingly. You need to be in good health, as he is active throughout the day. As a person, you should be calm, stable, and secure in yourself.
Working hours are variable, so shifts will be scheduled during the day, afternoon, evening, and weekends. We operate on a rotating schedule.
