About this role

Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3,000 employees work with us every day to provide high-quality, specialized healthcare of the highest standard. Welcome to the Emergency Department, Kungälv Hospital! We who work at the emergency department are a team of nursing assistants, nurses, and emergency physicians who receive approximately 30,000 patients per year. At our emergency department, you will encounter patients with various symptoms/diseases in medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. In our daily work, we collaborate in teams with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and physiotherapists. We also have "Pharmacists in Healthcare" who help and support staff regarding medications, administrators who help with patient registration, and caretakers who assist with patient transport during certain parts of the day. We are now seeking nursing assistants who want to become part of our exciting workplace – we are looking for those interested in emergency healthcare with previous experience in hospital care. You are a trained nursing assistant with at least one year of hospital care experience and preferably an interest in emergency healthcare. Working Hours The position involves working days, evenings, and weekends. Work Tasks Typical tasks at an emergency department. Qualifications Trained nursing assistant with hospital care experience. Experience in emergency healthcare is meritorious. Protected Professional Title for Nursing Assistants From July 1, 2023, nursing assistant will be a protected professional title. This means you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of nursing assistant in healthcare and social services.
