Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3,000 employees work with us every day to provide high-quality specialized healthcare. Description Ward 7 is one of three medical wards – focused on cardiac and pulmonary care. Three years ago, we moved into one of Sweden's most modern care ward buildings. Work has changed as each patient is now cared for in a private room, and the ward is equipped with the latest technology in the field. Since 2022, Ward 7 has been conducting advanced cardiac intensive care. On these seven care beds, we treat and care for severely ill heart patients who were previously treated in the intensive care unit. The work on the ward has thus become more specialized and varied. Work Tasks and Approach The work on the ward is knowledge-intensive, developmental, and exciting, and we provide advanced medical care. We work in teams with a patient-centered approach, collaborating with nursing assistants, nurses, paramedical staff, and doctors to best utilize each other's expertise. In the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, staffing consists of two nurses and two nursing assistants. We are seeking a nursing assistant for day and evening shifts. The work is led by two unit managers in a shared leadership model. About You We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others and wants to be part of our fantastic team, where we collectively drive the operation forward, work on improvements, and create and develop our ward and working methods with patients at the center. Qualifications You should be a trained nursing assistant, and previous experience in medicine or cardiology/cardiac intensive care is highly meritorious. It is important to us that you are driven to develop healthcare with the patient at the center, actively share your knowledge with colleagues, and eagerly learn from your colleagues' expertise. The length of introduction and supervision will be assessed based on your individual competence to ensure the best possible start.
