Regional Area West Properties - Construction and Management The Regional Area West Properties - Construction and Management provides facilities for the operations of the Västra Götaland Region and represents the property owner for the Västra Götaland Region's real estate portfolio, as well as being responsible for property development and construction projects. The regional area works strategically, taking into account the wishes of tenants, the needs of the properties, and the goals and intentions of the Västra Götaland Region. The assignment also includes procurement for property-related tasks, parking issues within the Västra Götaland Region, art in property projects, the Västra Götaland Region's art collection, and physical accessibility. What does the assignment entail? You will work on updating and developing our so-called House Book for the hospital properties within the SU area. The House Book is an overview documentation containing information about all buildings belonging to our hospital sites. It includes details about the buildings' origins, construction methods, and information about all major renovations carried out over the years. Your task will be to update the House Book with current information from recent years. You will do this by conversing with our technical managers and project leaders to gather information about completed projects and technical reinvestments from recent years that are not documented in the House Book. A significant portion of the work will also involve information searching in our project management systems. Through this work, you will gain insight and understanding of how we work with maintenance planning within West Properties. The work will begin with the House Book for Mölndal Hospital and Högsbo Hospital. If time allows, the work may continue on additional hospital sites within SU. This position is aimed at those who have not previously been student employees within VGR and have studies as their primary occupation during the spring term of 2026. The assignment averages 15 hours per week. The work location is in Gothenburg/Mölndal, but some tasks may potentially be performed remotely. Your knowledge and background We are looking for someone studying civil engineering or another relevant field at the university or college level. We prefer that you have at least reached the halfway point in your studies. To succeed in this assignment, you need to be structured, self-driven, and responsible. It is important that you are comfortable managing and executing the assignment independently, even though you will have a supervisor as a sounding board. Furthermore, we expect you to have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. We warmly welcome your application!
