As a security guard at Avarn Security, you have a vital societal mission to protect and monitor designated security objects in accordance with the Protection Act.
The role of a security guard involves monitoring security objects and protecting against sabotage, espionage, terrorist acts, and serious robbery. A security guard has special authorities to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, and deny or detain individuals present at a security object. Security objects are operations that are essential for society to function peacefully, during crises, or in wartime. Working hours: Varying hours, both day and night
Location: Flen
Duration: June-August with the possibility of on-call employment before and after summer 2026
Start date: By agreement.
Job responsibilities: As a security guard, you will work in various environments with diverse tasks. You will ensure that no unauthorized individuals have access to the security object, as well as perform stationary and patrolling surveillance.

You are meticulous and structured in your approach, as there may be some administrative tasks involved. We seek security-conscious and service-oriented employees with inner confidence, maturity, and a natural drive to help. Strong communication and collaboration skills are crucial, as this role involves significant interaction with clients, contractors, and visitors. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit for the role. We place great emphasis on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. You have a positive attitude towards your work and the ability to spread positive energy within a team.
Our general requirements for applicants are: You must be of legal age before you start working and must have no criminal record*, you also need to have a high school education with passing grades in Swedish 1, good health and physical fitness. You should have a stable financial situation and a valid driver's license (B). You also need to be a Swedish citizen.
Preferred qualifications: Security guard training (Vu1 and Vu2), HAS training, civil security guard training (or military security guard training**, completed in 2020 or later).
What we offer if you are accepted:
• If needed, security guard training through BYA. If you have the right profile for Avarn and progress in the process but do not possess the required training (Security Guard), we will cover your training! Security guard training (8 days) is conducted at BYA, the Occupational and Work Environment Board for the Security Industry. Participation in this training is a prerequisite for employment, including a successful security clearance and approved HAS training.

To be offered employment with us, it is a prerequisite that you participate in and pass the required training. In addition, you will also need an approved security clearance.

The employment is classified as security-sensitive, and we will conduct a security clearance with a background check in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Therefore, you must be a Swedish citizen. Tests will also be applied for this position.
* All personnel at an authorized security company must be approved in a review regarding legal compliance, civic reliability, and suitability in other respects. For the approval authority's assessment of a person's legal compliance and civic reliability, information from the criminal record or suspicion register, or information processed by the Security Police under the law on police processing of personal data within the scope of the crime data law, will be obtained.
** If you have completed security guard training during military basic training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2020 or later, and the training certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have security guard training through the armed forces without military basic training, you will need to complete a shortened security guard training course to be able to work as a civilian security guard.
