About this role

We are currently developing the Acute Internal Medicine Clinic at the university hospital - would you like to be a part of it? Welcome to join our team that strives to be the best in acute internal medicine care - we need more members! Our Offer The Acute Internal Medicine Clinic (AIM) was reorganized at the beginning of the year and is now embarking on a development journey with a new management team characterized by drive, commitment, and a focus on development. We want to grow, expand, and excel in what we do, which is why we need to strengthen our team with more skilled nurses. We offer a workplace in transition where you can make an impact! Following the reorganization, AIM consists of: - Ward B172 Acute Internal Medicine - MIMA Medical Intermediate Care Unit - Coagulation Clinic At AIM, we care for severely ill and complex patients with medical care needs. We treat a wide clientele primarily in respiration and circulation, providing broad and applicable knowledge in your professional role. Common patient groups in ward B172 include heart patients (atrial fibrillation, syncope, chest pain), lung patients (COPD), infection patients (sepsis, pneumonia, influenza), and thromboembolic patients (DVT, pulmonary embolisms). MIMA is our intermediate care unit where patients requiring a higher level of care than in ward B172 are treated, which places higher demands on the nursing staff and their competencies. Common conditions in MIMA include intoxications, severe sepsis/septic shock, ketoacidosis, respiratory failure, circulatory failure, among others. Patients with thromboembolic diseases are referred to the coagulation clinic. They may have been admitted to ward B172 and subsequently require follow-up care. Outpatient patients can also be referred to the coagulation clinic, typically for blood tests, medication follow-up, injections, or planning for surgery or childbirth. At AIM, there are significant development opportunities for you as a nurse. As a newly graduated nurse, you are recommended to work at least one year in ward B172 before transitioning to MIMA, but if you have prior experience, an individual plan can be made for an earlier transition to MIMA. In addition to this career development, there is also the opportunity for paid further education based on the needs of the organization and the wishes of the employee. In addition to a tailored introduction, we offer a stimulating and varied job with strong mentorship support, where you will be assigned a personal mentor (an experienced nurse) who will guide you during your first year with us. We also always have experienced colleagues in MIMA, as well as an experienced nurse coordinator who can assist with help and support in daily work. Additionally, there are several support functions such as coordinators, social coordinators, meal hosts, and pharmacists who facilitate your work as a nurse. At AIM, we work two out of five weekends, giving you the opportunity to influence your own schedule by creating an individual wish schedule in the scheduling tool Tessa. Job Description As a nurse with us, you will be the care leader in your team, which includes several other professions such as doctors, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Broad collaboration and good communication are seen as crucial factors for safe and secure care. Your responsibilities as a nurse include assessing, planning, and executing interventions based on the patient's care needs in ward B172/MIMA. Medical technical and monitoring equipment is frequently used in daily work, providing a wide variety of tasks. Team Environment We strongly value a pleasant work environment and good camaraderie, which is why we see Friday coffee breaks, regular afterworks, and wonderful summer/winter parties as important and enjoyable aspects of our operations! About You We are looking for a licensed nurse with or without specialist training, or someone currently enrolled in a nursing program who is graduating before the planned start of employment. Experience in medical care, emergency care, or care for elderly patients is advantageous, but any form of healthcare experience is certainly welcome! As a nurse with us, you will work closely with patients, relatives, and colleagues. Therefore, good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for success in the role. To thrive with us, you have a genuine interest in helping people in vulnerable situations. You possess good collaboration skills, are attentive and communicative, and treat both patients and colleagues with care and respect. We are looking for a team player who appreciates variety and where flexibility is a given. Daily life with us is dynamic and unpredictable, making it important that you can quickly adapt and change focus when the situation requires it. We are also in an exciting phase of development and would love for you to be a part of that journey. With curiosity, commitment, and positive energy, you contribute to shaping the future of care together with us.
