The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Support Functions sector includes finance, personnel, administration, communication, property management, cleaning, and meals. The mission of the Support Functions is to facilitate and streamline operations.
Service Function - a gateway for the municipality's operations.
The Service Function, with approximately 140 employees, is tasked with providing the best possible service to the municipality's administration and operations based on needs, demand, and requests. We actively work to increase our dialogue and meet the needs and wishes of the operations. This function includes meal services and cleaning. The service primarily consists of providing meals for preschools, schools, and care services, as well as cleaning in the municipality's premises.
Our team consists of a functional manager, five unit managers, an administrator, and a coordinator. You will be part of the management team of the function. We are a small management group with high competence that works in close collaboration. We maintain an open climate where you can always receive help and support from your colleagues and manager. JOB DESCRIPTION
As a manager with us, we want you to work with the function's management team to develop the Service Function based on established goals and guidelines. You will lead employees through open communication, trust, and mutual respect, with a health-promoting perspective. In the role of unit manager within the Service Function, you will have overall responsibility for work environment, budget, personnel, and operations, as well as responsibility for recruitment and professional development of the unit's staff, establishment of internal work processes, and development of governing documents.
You will lead your workgroup and be part of the management within the Service Function. In the management team, you are expected to contribute to the strategic development of the function and to identify needs within your unit. Within your workgroup, you are expected to lead from a holistic perspective, create structure, and integrate processes to achieve high operational benefit for the municipality, companies, and our customers.
As the unit manager for the Service Function, you will lead and organize approximately 30-35 employees in one of two geographical cleaning areas. You will work in a team consisting of another unit manager and a coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with managerial and leadership experience in cleaning and/or meal services. It is advantageous if you have a higher education relevant to the assignment or training that the employer considers equivalent.
You have the ability to be a clear leader, possess vision, and see opportunities for change and development. You can leverage others' competencies and good ideas. You should be bold and courageous. You can make difficult decisions and complete ongoing assignments.
You need to have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and a desire to take on this assignment!
In your leadership, we want you to have a strong ability to work in a coaching manner and to create engagement and motivation among your employees. You are a structured and creative problem solver who can see opportunities. You have a well-developed customer perspective and a good ability to build trusting relationships with both customers and employees. You understand that municipal support functions are meant to facilitate and are therefore constantly seeking ways to adapt and develop the unit according to the operations' conditions and needs.
You have good IT skills, see digital solutions, and master Swedish very well in both speech and writing. Good collaboration skills, a strong service mindset, strategic thinking, and self-drive are essential qualities for success in this role. Furthermore, the role requires you to have analytical abilities, be meticulous, and structured.
You are a person who is inspired by leading others and has the ability to create a sense of team and participation.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
