Welcome to apply! Our Operations Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, and Pain Center is characterized by well-functioning multidisciplinary teams, which we are very proud of. Our operational area has a broad mandate where working is meaningful, exciting, and developmental. There are good opportunities to participate in development work and research, where we translate new knowledge into care. Our Department At the Geriatric Acute Care Ward 30A, the elderly, fragile person is the focus. We provide medical acute care with a rehabilitation approach for older patients with complex medical conditions and care needs. As an experienced nurse, you will use your entire accumulated competence and experience around the patient. Geriatric care is provided based on a clear structure specifically adapted to the older patient and their needs. In geriatric care, teamwork is central, with both the multiprofessional team's collaboration and the patient's participation being important parts of care. Patients come to the Geriatric Acute Care Ward via referral from other hospital departments or through the emergency room. We also receive patients through direct admission from ambulance and the local care team. Your Mission In geriatrics, we work with renewed approaches to increase care quality by making the patient involved in their care and improving the work environment by ensuring the right person does the right tasks. This is an ongoing work that develops and is continuously evaluated, and here you have the chance to contribute with your knowledge and experience. As a nurse in geriatrics, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in nursing and person-centered care, and you will also have the opportunity to receive additional assignments and drive improvement work during allocated time. We have developed new areas of responsibility based on patient group needs. Your Competence As a person, you are flexible in your work, with the ability to switch between outcome and task focus to provide the best and safest patient care. You can see and work with people's resources, emphasizing patients' health understanding, participation, and co-responsibility. You have the ability to collaborate in teams and wish to develop in a multiprofessional work group. You are solution-oriented in what you do and choose to work in stimulating, joyful, and developmental workplaces with the goal of providing the best care for your patients. Step forward, welcome to us! We Offer We offer you a permanent full-time position with start date by agreement. You can work 2-shift. All new employees receive individually adapted introduction depending on previous experience. We use a clear introduction program with an introduction booklet, and time will be allocated for mandatory e-Learning courses in the PingPong system during introduction and later during employment. New employees will be offered frequent follow-ups at intervals of 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months, and as needed.
