We are looking for a driven and committed LSS/Social Support Case Officer to join our fantastic team in LSS/Social Psychiatry! Your new job We are seeking a new colleague as one of our case officers will be on leave for a period. The employment is temporary until November 2026, with the possibility of extension. Start date is in January or as agreed. We offer annual working hours/flexibility and the option to work from home a maximum of 2 days per week. The Authority Unit within the Health and Social Care Administration is responsible for the social services' authority exercise regarding services for the elderly and for individuals with disabilities. The unit consists of case officers, LSS case officers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, administrators, business developers, and managers. We have three teams of case officers, and you will belong to the LSS/Social Psychiatry team. The LSS/Social Psychiatry team consists of twelve case officers who together are responsible for receiving applications, investigating, and making decisions about services for citizens with mental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. About the role As a case officer with us, you will be a key person in supporting individuals with intellectual or mental disabilities. You will assess needs, make decisions according to the Social Services Act and LSS, and ensure that the right support and services are offered. Common tasks • Investigate, assess, and make decisions according to the Social Services Act regarding housing support, training housing, short-term housing, SoL housing, and other services aimed at individuals with mental health issues and mental disabilities. • Investigate, assess, and make decisions about the 10 services according to LSS for citizens with disabilities. • Act as a supportive function for those we serve and their relatives. • Provide service and information. • Maintain contacts and collaborate with both internal and external partners. We document in the operational system VIVA. Your qualifications Requirements • Degree in Social Work or another higher education deemed equivalent. • Valid driver's license (B category). Meritorious • Experience working with individuals with disabilities. • Experience in authority exercise, preferably according to LSS or SoL. • Good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. In addition to formal qualifications, great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, which means you have a professional demeanor and approach. We also hope you will complement our work group positively. The work involves creating and maintaining good relationships with individuals, relatives, or representatives. We are looking for someone with a warm interest in working with people, a positive outlook, and good collaboration skills.
