About this role
Innovitaskolan consists of 26 pre-schools and primary schools created for future needs. We combine traditional teaching with modern tools and methods to provide our children and students with skills and the right conditions in a changing world. Innovitaskolan schools are located throughout Sweden, from Kalix in the north to Landskrona in the south. Innovitaskolan is part of AcadeMedia's primary schools.
Innovitaskolan Luleå is a pre-school through 9th-grade school with an integrated preschool where safety, curiosity, and hope for the future are at the center. The school is located in a quiet area near both nature and city, creating good conditions for learning in a harmonious environment. Here, students are met by dedicated teachers, clear structures, and a warm culture where we see each child as unique. We actively work to build relationships, create participation, and develop teaching so that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
At Innovitaskolan, we value close collaboration between school, after-school care, and preschool class, and we strive to give our students a common thread throughout their schooling. We have a strong focus on both knowledge development and social learning, and we believe in the power of collegial collaboration and systematic quality work. Here, the future is shaped with joy, care, and high ambitions together.
A School Created for Future Needs
The future is full of possibilities. At Innovitaskolan, we educate for every future. Our work involves creating a good educational environment where we can provide our children and students with knowledge and skills for an ever-changing future.
Your Mission
We are now seeking an engaged and positive after-school activity leader for a temporary position at Innovitaskolan Luleå. Here, you will encounter a small and familial school where safety, structure, and joy permeate the entire operation – from preschool class to 9th grade. As an after-school activity leader with us, you will become an important part of students' daily life. You will work both in the after-school program and during the school day, supporting students and educators in grades 4 and 5. Your mission involves creating a safe, inspiring, and meaningful environment, both during play and learning.
During the day, you will assist in the classroom as extra support in teaching and help create structure and calm in the groups. In the afternoons, you will be responsible together with colleagues for after-school activities, focusing on community, creativity, and movement.
We are looking for someone who has a big heart for children and youth, and who thrives in a role where you can be both a secure adult and a driving force in the operation. You are proactive, responsible, and easy to collaborate with, while also having the ability to create order and engagement in the children's group. Experience from work in after-school care or school is meritorious, but we place great importance on personal qualities.
Working hours are primarily 08:00–16:30 but can be adjusted to some extent based on operational needs and your conditions.
Personal Qualities:
Secure, calm, and structured in your way of leading groups.
Engaged and present adult who sees each student and creates trusting relationships.
Proactive and creative – you see opportunities for play, movement, and learning in everyday life.
Easy to collaborate with and contribute to a positive work environment.
Responsible, flexible, and solution-oriented.
Meritorious:
Experience working in after-school care or school, especially with students in grades 4-5.
Experience with pedagogical support in teaching during school hours.
Competence in sports, music, creative activities, or outdoor life.
Experience working in a small, familial school where collaboration and safety are in focus.
We Offer:
- A secure and engaged work environment with great community and job satisfaction
- Opportunity to follow students over time and create long-term relationships
- Support from a collegium with high willingness to collaborate and development focus
- Freedom to be creative in teaching and try new ideas
- Space to develop as an educator – we encourage initiative, collegial learning, and collaboration
- Management that listens, encourages, and is present in everyday life
As part of Innovitaskolan and AcadeMedia, we offer our employees continuous competence development through Academedia Academy, as well as internal and external professional development. It is important to us that you are doing well, which is why you will, of course, receive collective agreement benefits and insurance, as well as wellness allowance, pension counseling, and the opportunity for advantageous purchases
