JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Unit Manager for Disability Services, you will have an exciting and challenging assignment to lead, plan, and develop the operation. The position focuses on short-term housing for children and our child residential facility with three places. This is an expansion from one manager to two, and you will work closely with your colleague, either with divided areas of responsibility or in shared leadership.
Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality support for individuals, tailored to their needs and wishes. You will have support from experienced unit manager colleagues, method developers, and support pedagogues who will help you develop methods and quality in daily work. Coordinators will assist you in scheduling work shifts for each residence.
You will be part of a management team that works actively together, with a positive work climate characterized by close collaboration and plenty of laughter. Responsibilities include budget management, work environment, personnel management, and extensive collaboration with both internal and external units and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking candidates with a degree in social work, nursing, behavioral science, or another higher education qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience working with disability services/daily activities and with children is advantageous.
You must have at least 2 years of management experience. You should have experience and knowledge of individuals with various disabilities and a good understanding of children's needs and development. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation (LSS, SoL, and HSL) is required.
You should be a clear leader who wants to create a work environment where employees thrive and develop. You have vision, see opportunities for change, set high standards for the well-being and quality of life of children/clients, and have excellent abilities to collaborate with and meet guardians' thoughts and concerns. You can leverage others' competencies and good ideas. You must be brave, able to make difficult decisions, and complete assigned tasks.
Proficiency in common systems such as Personec, Lifecare, and Time Care is advantageous. Experience with Developmental Leadership is a plus.
You must have strong verbal and written communication skills and enthusiasm for this assignment!
A driver's license is required.
