Would you like to work on something truly meaningful? Welcome to us at Kalix Funeral Home.
Working at a funeral home naturally involves grief and loss, but it is also about life. It encompasses both the life that has ceased and left unique traces, as well as the life that must continue in a new way for loved ones.
As a funeral advisor, you provide security, structure, and knowledge in a situation where those you meet often feel longing, stress, and worry. Many have never experienced death closely and have never planned a funeral.
Important qualities we are looking for include being self-assured, attentive, empathetic, engaged, and organized. We place greater emphasis on your personality than on education and previous job roles.
Naturally, the workload can sometimes be uneven and the working hours irregular. Your day may consist of client visits, picking up/wrapping/casket placement of the deceased, contacts with suppliers, administration, planning, and conducting funerals. Some on-call duty is also included. Therefore, you must be flexible and enjoy providing excellent service in all situations. To handle all tasks, you need to have a B driver's license and basic computer skills.
With us, you work independently under your own responsibility but are part of a positive community. In our team, we trust each other and support one another. You will receive practical training, and we conduct joint visits to ensure both you and the client feel secure.
The position is a permanent part-time role, and we apply a six-month probationary period. Start date is to be agreed upon, and applications are processed continuously, so do not hesitate to reach out. If you have questions about the position, please contact office manager Marianne at
[email protected] or 0920-10525. You can apply here or send your application to the same email address. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. Warm welcome!
