About this role
Are You Ready to Work in a Community-Supporting Operation?
To ensure that all animals in Sweden can live the best possible life, we have Distriktsveterinärerna. With round-the-clock readiness, clinics across the country, and unique expertise in animal health, we contribute to healthier animals and a safer life. As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of private individuals, companies, and authorities. We offer community-supporting services for emergency veterinary care, disease prevention, and proactive measures for good animal health. Always down-to-earth and with our heart in the right place. Distriktsveterinärerna is part of the Swedish Agricultural Board.
Welcome to Distriktsveterinärerna Hede. Do you enjoy skiing, mountain biking, hunting, dog training, hiking, and fishing? Or simply love being in the mountains? Then we have the workplace for you! With a six-month ski season and access to some of Sweden's best ski and cycling areas right outside the door, all opportunities for an active leisure time are available. Hede is located in the center of the district, which covers all of Härjedalen. Although the area is large, the on-call duties are typically calm. The clinic primarily operates small animal practice with a significant focus on hunting dogs, but of course, large animals are also included.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a veterinarian with us, you will work with small animals at the clinic and/or large animals in the field. On-call duty is also a natural part of the position where you will encounter patients from multiple animal species. The clinic is equipped with gas anesthesia for surgery and dental care, X-ray, and basic ultrasound. There is also a simple horse clinic with a restraint stall where we primarily provide dental care but can also treat injuries.
For new veterinarians, we offer an introduction tailored to experience and familiarity. It is important to us that new employees feel secure in their role and enjoy working with both customers and colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is collaboration-oriented and adaptable, able to find solutions to emerging problems. Additionally, you maintain a good mood, both in success and challenges.
Additional requirements for the position:
- Veterinary license or special permission
- Class B driver's license
- Swedish language proficiency (speaking and writing)
