About this role
Helping people achieve better health is one of the most important missions one can have. At Södra Älvsborg Hospital (SÄS), we are 3,700 employees with 120 different professions who together contribute to this every day. What role would you like to play?
Regardless of your role, we can offer you meaningful, secure, and developmental work where you make a difference for others. Our employees often say that SÄS is a "just right" sized hospital – large enough to develop and build a career, yet small enough to maintain a sense of community across departments. We have a forward-thinking spirit, with ongoing exciting initiatives and research to improve patient care and meet future healthcare challenges.

About Our Open Position
We are seeking someone who wants to help build the pulmonology department at SÄS.
We are restarting the medical team this winter and aiming for a fully developed investigation unit within a few years.
We are looking for someone with experience in lung oncology combined with pulmonology. Over the next year, lung oncology treatment will be transferred to the oncology treatment unit. This is the first step in creating a Cancer Center and centralizing expertise and treatment in one place, ensuring strong oncology for the future.
As a pulmonology specialist at our medical department, you will strengthen our lung section team and closely collaborate with lung clinic nurses and nursing assistants. You will have the opportunity to initiate and drive development based on your knowledge and interests in consultation with the team. You will also supervise medical interns, residents, and medical students.
About Us
Our mission is to provide internal medicine and oncology care for residents in our catchment area, which we do with great and dedicated commitment. Our medical department is one of the hospital's largest areas, with a broad range of specialists in general internal medicine, cardiology, hematology, pulmonology, allergology, nephrology, gastroenterology, diabetes, endocrinology, and oncology. We have a significant educational mandate, with a large portion of medical training taking place at SÄS.
