The Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Skåne. Here, emergency care is provided around the clock by qualified and dedicated staff. CSK combines the resources of a large hospital with the closeness and community of a smaller facility. The hospital offers residents in the catchment area care with short waiting times across all specialties. We have approximately 2,600 employees.
The Rheumatology Department at the Medicine Clinic in Kristianstad is offering a position as a specialist physician in rheumatology. Our operations include a large outpatient service with around 3,700 doctor visits per year, day care for infusion treatments, and the possibility of inpatient beds at the Medicine Clinic if needed. We are a close-knit group of physicians who discuss complex cases together, with opportunities for close collaboration with colleagues at the University Hospital in Lund, as well as participation in the weekly "case discussions." Additionally, we have a strong collaboration involving regular rounds with other specialties such as nephrology and pulmonology, which is stimulating and contributes to multidisciplinary care for the most severely ill patients. Currently, we have four specialists in our department. We take pride in our well-structured rheumatology team, which consists of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Teamwork is a natural model for caring for rheumatology patients in our daily operations, and we hold joint meetings, development days, and lectures for the entire team.
DUTIES
As a specialist physician with us, you will be part of our medical team that staffs the rheumatology clinic and day care. We work in interdisciplinary teams where you collaborate with other staff at the clinic. Additionally, mentoring of resident physicians is included in your role. If you are a specialist in internal medicine, you may also participate in on-call/back-up duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who are a licensed specialist physician in rheumatology with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is a requirement.
