About this role
**About the Position**
As a consultant/specialist physician with us, you will work with standard tasks within gynecology and obstetrics.
Your primary placement will be during daytime hours in the gynecological department, involving outpatient care, surgery, and ward responsibilities. There are excellent opportunities for your own professional development and further development of our operations if there is interest. You are expected to mentor less experienced colleagues, such as residents. On-call duties are included, with a primary on-call service on-site and a backup service with a 30-minute response time. There are good opportunities to shape your position according to your preferences, with options for both part-time or full-time work and research. We can also offer temporary accommodation if needed.
**Women's Clinic Halmstad**
KK Halmstad is part of the Women's Clinic at Halland Hospital, which operates in two additional locations, Varberg and Kungsbacka. The units have a good collaborative relationship. Your employment will be at the Women's Clinic at Halland Hospital, based in Halmstad.
The unit in Halmstad is a suitably sized workplace with excellent opportunities for development, both personal and professional, as well as for the operations. We have a strong sense of community and prioritize a good working environment.
**Gynecology Halmstad**
We are a well-functioning and driven operation that includes outpatient surgery, robotic surgery, benign gynecological surgery, oncology, and interdisciplinary teams focused on vulvar conditions, endometriosis, infertility, and incontinence.
We have a gynecological specialist outpatient clinic with emergency assignments during the day. We conduct approximately 10,000 physician visits annually at our clinic. We also have a gynecological inpatient department with 5 beds and 3 day care spots.
**Obstetrics Halmstad**
In Halmstad, we have an obstetric unit with about 1,500 deliveries per year. We have a neonatal department directly adjacent to the delivery ward that cares for infants born from week 28 of pregnancy. This allows us in Halmstad to manage all high-risk pregnancies and deliveries in Halland. The obstetric unit is well-regarded and has excellent outcomes.

**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone who is a consultant or specialist physician in obstetrics and gynecology. Backup competence is an advantage but can also be developed after joining. You have a strong interest in developing knowledge and skills and a great ability to work in a team.
Furthermore, you are responsible and capable of working independently. Personal suitability will be given significant weight.
