Our Operation
The Obstetrics Section in Uppsala employs 20 specialist physicians to varying extents and is responsible for pregnancy monitoring, childbirth, and postpartum care for women in the Uppsala Region, serving as a reference hospital for the Central Sweden hospital region and Northern Sweden.
We are seeking an employee for fetal medicine who will also serve as the medically responsible lead physician for this department. In collaboration with the section management, this person will drive the fetal medicine department forward, maintain high-quality operations, and participate in planning and restructuring in light of ongoing changes in fetal diagnostics.
In addition to administrative time for this role, responsibilities include a fetal medicine clinic with CVS, amniocentesis, and second opinion ultrasounds. Duty shifts across all obstetric section schedules, including on-call service, are also part of the position.
Your Qualifications
• Specialist physician in gynecology and obstetrics
• PhD
• Must have experience in medical leadership and quality improvement
• Familiar with Cosmic, Viewpoint, and other healthcare systems in fetal medicine
• Strong collaborative and leadership skills
