JTEKT Column Systems AB is a systems supplier that develops, produces, and sells adjustable steering columns, telescopic axles, and valves for leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, and agricultural machinery in Europe. The company is a market leader in steering columns for heavy vehicles in Europe, a position achieved through successful product development and production. We currently have approximately 160 employees and generate 45 MEUR in revenue. JTEKT Column Systems AB is part of the Japanese JTEKT Group, a global systems supplier to the international automotive industry. We operate according to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. Location is Eskilstuna.
Job Responsibilities
Your main areas of responsibility are:
- Design tools, assembly fixtures, and liners
- Investigate methods and propose production adaptations
- Drive machine construction projects
- Ensure CE marking is performed on own and, where applicable, consultant-designed constructions
- Participate in investment calculations
- Participate in machine safety analyses and propose/implement measures to improve work environment
- Be part of various project groups and provide support to other company functions as needed
- Work to ensure and enhance production quality
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has/is:
- 3-year technical education and/or equivalent work experience
- Good knowledge of SolidWorks
- Ability to design and draw parts and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Ability to create drawings with correct dimensions and tolerances
- Experience in specialized processing design, e.g., custom machine parts, fixtures, or tools for specific manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial automation
- Knowledge of basic machining is meritorious
- Familiar with standardized quality methods and driving continuous improvements
