Do you want to lead the workshop that keeps the city's buses rolling? As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for finances, personnel, and operations – playing a key role in the transition to sustainable and fossil-free public transportation.
Luleå Lokaltrafik (LLT) is a wholly owned municipal company and a central part of the city's development. We operate public transportation with a clear focus on sustainable development. Our goal is to contribute to a greener Luleå where public transportation is an obvious and attractive choice. As a community actor, we aspire to be more than just a transport company – we aim to enhance safety, accessibility, and quality of life for Luleå's residents. We also strive to be Sweden's most customer-satisfied public transport service, and our operations are built on close cooperation with both the municipality and our passengers. For our employees, this means a workplace characterized by high engagement and the ability to influence. We cultivate a culture where short decision-making paths meet long-term goals, where innovation and work environment go hand in hand, and where every role is an important part of the whole. With us, you will combine local commitment with professionalism and a forward-looking approach. Working at LLT means being part of a strong brand and an important community mission. Here, you can make a difference – for our passengers, for the city, and for the future.
We are looking for an engaged and responsible Workshop Manager who wants to help drive our operations forward. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the workshop's finances, operations, and personnel, and you will play a central role in our efforts to create sustainable and efficient operations. As Workshop Manager, you play an important part in the functioning of society – you ensure that work flows smoothly, both figuratively and literally. You will be the first-line manager with personnel responsibility for 13 employees and will have an active presence in the daily work. You will also be part of the management team of the production department, where you and your colleagues will drive development issues and contribute to the department's long-term success. Furthermore, you will become a key person in the company's transition to a fossil-free future and in upcoming procurements.
This is a role where you will have the opportunity to influence, contribute your ideas, and develop the operations long-term together with a skilled and committed team.
Your areas of responsibility:
• Lead and develop the workshop's operations, finances, and personnel.
• Work strategically with development issues, procurements, and improvement work.
• Contribute to the company's transition towards fossil-free operations.
• Ensure that the operations are conducted in a safe, sustainable, and efficient manner.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who has:
• experience of working as a manager or leader, preferably in technical, maintenance, or vehicle-related operations
• at least a high school education
• good computer skills
• experience in quality work
• It is an advantage if you have experience with LEAN and continuous improvement work
To succeed in this role, we see that you are a humble and present leader who puts people in focus. You find it easy to collaborate, build trust, and motivate others through clear communication and consideration. You possess a modest leadership style where you are present in the operations. You dare to make decisions and stand by them, but you do so with respect and engagement for both people and operations. You thrive in an environment where you can influence and develop, and where you and your team contribute to a safe, efficient, and future-oriented workshop.
We place great importance on personal qualities.
Start date by agreement.
