Destination Karlskrona AB is owned by AB Karlskrona Moderbolag, which in turn is owned by Karlskrona municipality. The company has an annual turnover of 25 to 30 million SEK and employs 14 staff members along with around 30 seasonal workers.

**Job Responsibilities**
From a municipal group perspective and in collaboration with the company’s board, you will be responsible for managing and developing the company according to the owner directives and other governing documents from the municipal executive board and the municipal council. You will oversee the company’s budget, results, and reporting to the board and owners.
Karlskrona is one of the country’s leading tourist destinations. Your mission is to make Karlskrona a long-term sustainable and attractive establishment and destination. The company will market the place brand of Karlskrona to visitors and businesses. The company’s operations should contribute to Karlskrona’s positive development with a sustainably growing business sector, more job opportunities, and as a year-round tourism and destination location.
You will report to your board, which consists of seven members.
**Qualifications**
You have experience in the tourism industry or related sectors. You possess a relevant higher education degree or other experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience in a leadership role driving strategic work and being responsible for operations, finance, and personnel.
To succeed in this role, you need to be a clear and effective communicator. You are expected to have strong qualities to build relationships with various stakeholders that influence the company’s ability to succeed in its mission.
A high degree of business acumen is part of your profile, and you view business as an opportunity for development, possessing the ability to drive long-term and sustainable innovation and business development that fosters engagement and is characterized by co-creation.
You must be fluent in both Swedish and English. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage. Experience working in a politically governed organization is desirable but not a requirement.
In your role as a leader within the Karlskrona municipal group, you are a role model and act as you wish your employees to act. You motivate and inspire with a clear goal and purpose that creates understanding and context.
