About this role
At the Swedish Migration Agency, we are working on one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
We are now seeking legal advisors for the Legal Department.
With us, you will work with qualified legal application and current societal issues influenced by what is happening in our surroundings. Issues that touch and engage. We offer an exciting and developing job with a focus on maintaining a good working environment.

What does a legal advisor do in the Legal Department?
In the Legal Unit, we primarily work with administrative law, contract law, confidentiality issues, reception law, procurement law, IT law, data protection issues, labor law, compensation issues, EU law, etc. We do this by providing advice, writing legal investigations, drafting legal positions and handbook texts, responding to legislative inquiries, reviewing proposals, commenting on and participating in government investigations regarding new legislation, litigating in court, and participating in the agency's development and digitalization efforts.
We also represent the Swedish Migration Agency externally in various working groups and provide legal support to the government offices. As a legal advisor in the Legal Department, you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of our working methods. We strive to work cross-functionally both within and outside the department.

Furthermore, you have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages to the recipient.
You also have a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances and are interested in development issues. You can quickly change your perspective and approach, and you see opportunities in changes.
