Description
Area 6 is located at Sahlgrenska Hospital.
The area has approximately 2,500 employees in Emergency Medicine and Geriatrics, Specialist Medicine/Pulmonology, Allergology, Cardiology/Thorax, Neurology, Ambulance/Pre-hospital Emergency Care, and Palliative Medicine. The area provides both outpatient and inpatient care, national care, regional healthcare, and county healthcare.
Research and education are conducted across all operations.
About the Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager who will be driving strategic quality and patient safety work for the area and its operations. As a Business Development Manager, you will report directly to the Development Manager at the area level and will work across areas while being connected to a specific operational area.
You will be part of an area-level team working on patient safety and quality, and based on established goals, you will initiate, drive, implement, and coordinate development of operations' quality and patient safety work, as well as drive improvement efforts. You will actively work with incident management and support and lead risk and event analysis work. You will also work with care processes related to patient safety, quality, and digital implementation. The Business Development Manager role offers excellent opportunities to deepen expertise in process work and systematic quality improvement.
You will work closely with the Development Manager, Operations Manager, Nursing Manager, and other Business Development Managers on joint assignments.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with appropriate healthcare education at university or college level. Education and knowledge in business development, improvement science, and risk and event analysis are highly meritorious. You have a holistic approach and can translate goals and visions into concrete actions. You have the ability to drive and develop operations from a patient perspective while simultaneously encouraging employee participation through continuous improvements. You also possess the perseverance required to achieve set goals. You are accustomed to taking initiative, working independently, and are creative and innovative by nature.
Basic skills in digital systems such as the incident system Med Control Pro, National IT Tool for Event Analysis (NITHA), Power BI reports, and the Planning and Steering follow-up tool are meritorious. Research education is also considered advantageous.
You also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
