Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) makes 21 million decisions that impact people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 260 billion kronor annually. It is the taxpayers' money we manage, which carries significant responsibility. Therefore, we thoroughly examine each case, adhere to laws and regulations, provide information and guidance, and demonstrate care and consideration. This is a job for those who want to take responsibility. Welcome to Försäkringskassan.
The Department of Preparedness and Sector Responsibility (LASE) is seeking a Business Developer focusing on Geographic Preparedness. This area serves as a strategic and tactical support for Försäkringskassan regarding continuity and preparedness. Responsibilities include coordinating, managing, and following up on the agency's ability to withstand disruptions, handle serious peacetime crisis situations, and perform its duties during heightened readiness.
Preparedness issues, sector responsibility, development
The area also includes coordination for the Economic Security Preparedness Sector (Regulation 2022:524 on the preparedness of state authorities), where Försäkringskassan is the sector-responsible authority. This means the agency has an expanded responsibility to strengthen coordination among a number of authorities within the sector and County Administrative Boards before and during peacetime crises, heightened readiness, and war.
In the role of Business Developer, your primary focus will be on Försäkringskassan's continuity and preparedness work, where you will be involved in coordinating, planning, and developing the agency's preparedness-enhancing measures. You will support and coordinate Försäkringskassan's geographic preparedness efforts.
This may involve, for example:
• Supporting the agency's office managers in continuity and preparedness issues
• Collaborating with County Administrative Boards and civil areas, as well as authorities within the Economic Security sector and other relevant actors within total defense
• Having good knowledge of the offices and operations conducted within your assigned civil areas, as well as the conditions necessary for the agency's work to be carried out
• Collaborating and building capabilities with other business developer colleagues with the same focus and other stakeholders within Försäkringskassan.
You will work in consultation with the agency's security advisors and be part of the national and regional preparedness system. You are engaged, vigilant about your surroundings, and eager to contribute to the collective effort within the agency. Initially, your work will be characterized by building up resources, and it will be important to continuously evaluate various initiatives and spread learning. The role involves travel within Sweden.
The position entails handling confidential information, which requires a high level of confidentiality awareness. Therefore, it is important that you, as a prospective employee, possess a strong security awareness.
