About this role

The Swedish Parliament Administration is an authority tasked with supporting the work of the parliament. Approximately 750 politically neutral employees work at the Swedish Parliament Administration on a variety of tasks. We are now seeking an Operations Strategist to strengthen the IT department's efforts in driving and coordinating strategic and operational assignments from a holistic perspective. Your work will be independent, and you will have the opportunity to influence the role's design to some extent. **Your Responsibilities** - Provide qualified support to the managers of the IT department in developing operations at both strategic and operational levels. - Act as a coordinator for the development and follow-up of strategies and policies. - Coordinate the department's operational planning and follow-up. - Participate in and drive cross-functional development initiatives within and between departments. - Lead workshops, conduct analyses, write reports, and produce decision-making materials and presentations. As an Operations Strategist, you will work broadly, covering everything from qualified management support and coordination of investigations and strategic issues to operational planning. A key function will be collaboration—with both units and sections within the IT department and with other departments within the Swedish Parliament Administration as well as external stakeholders. You are expected to provide ongoing support, including through structured environmental analysis and international contacts. You will report to the department head and participate as a presenter at management meetings. **Your Qualifications** We are looking for someone who: - Has worked in the IT field for several years, both at a technical level and with relevant regulations. - Has extensive experience in business development and project management within IT. - Has an academic background suitable for the role, such as an engineering degree, or other experience considered equivalent. - Has experience working with investigations, roadmaps, strategies, and policies. - Is accustomed to handling and analyzing data, writing reports, and producing decision-making materials and presentations. - Has experience in both strategic and operational management. - Has strong communication skills and can express oneself very well in both spoken and written forms. It is an advantage if you have experience in enterprise architecture within IT and overarching technology choices and trade-offs with high IT security requirements.
