About this role

The Facilities Department is part of the Culture and Leisure Office. We operate, develop, and lease sports facilities and bookable venues within the scope of the Culture and Leisure Office's activities. The facilities, which number over a hundred in terms of volume, are geographically spread across the entire municipality and encompass a wide variety of types such as sports fields, sports halls, ice rinks, skate parks, outdoor gyms, athletics areas, outdoor recreation centers, meeting rooms, stage and dance venues, among others. Additionally, we collaborate with the Community Development Office regarding the operation of outdoor facilities in the municipal districts and with external actors concerning certain facilities, such as Sydpoolen and Scaniarinken. **Your Responsibilities** As a Business Strategist, we envision that your tasks will have a broad scope, including: - Process development and leadership in planning and executing maintenance, investments, and reinvestments in the municipally owned facilities. - Developing and improving work processes related to venue booking and administration. - Qualified management and administration of matters such as investigations, lease agreements, governing documents, and similar tasks. You will report directly to the Facilities Manager and will therefore work closely with them. **Who Are You?** Since the position of Business Strategist is newly established, there are excellent opportunities for you to shape the role based on your specific strengths and the needs and priorities of the organization. However, to succeed in your key responsibilities, we see it as crucial that you have relevant educational background and solid professional experience. In your role, you are expected to be a strategically competent key player who develops our operations and can deliver high-quality results in processes stemming from directives, political decisions, or changes in the external environment that fall within our operational scope. You also possess a natural drive and aptitude for identifying opportunities in challenges and may have been involved in executing a significant change initiative with successful outcomes. **Requirements:** - Professional experience in planning or developing sports facilities and/or property management/maintenance. - Professional experience in coordination and/or business development within a publicly governed organization. - Post-secondary education focused on urban planning, real estate, economics, project management, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. - Valid driver's license (Category B). **Meritorious:** - Professional experience in procurement. - Professional experience with lease agreements or other contractual forms deemed relevant by the employer. - Familiarity with booking systems such as FRI, Interbook, Rbook, etc. - Good knowledge of digital tools, services, or systems deemed relevant by the employer. - Leadership skills acquired through education or experience. **Personal Attributes:** - Structured - Driven - Unpretentious We place great importance on your personal qualities. **We Offer You** Your workplace will be in the Södertälje City Hall, centrally located with excellent public transport connections.
