About the position
Karolinska University Hospital is one of Europe's largest university hospitals with over 16,000 employees. Our HR department consists of various support functions: operational HR partners, HR support, recruitment, and specialist functions.
As an operational HR partner at Karolinska University Hospital, you are an integral part of the organization and work closely with the managers you support. Together with the leaders in the healthcare operations you support, you drive continuous improvement efforts towards our vision: We will cure and alleviate tomorrow what no one can cure and alleviate today.
Your mission spans the entire HR field, but you also have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in various areas based on your skills, background, and interests, such as labor law and negotiation, work environment, talent acquisition, HR data and analysis, staffing, or leadership and culture. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to drive change and improvement initiatives together with the organization and contribute to developing processes and ways of working.
The pace can be high at times, with multiple questions and projects to manage, structure, and follow up on. As an HR partner with us, you work in a 24/7 operation where conditions can change rapidly and new needs arise in the moment. To succeed and thrive in this role, you need to be able to switch between tasks, reprioritize when necessary, and quickly adapt to new circumstances.
You will belong to one of the HR teams at Karolinska, which consists of HR partners divided into three clusters. In this recruitment, we are looking for HR partners who will work within the cluster focusing on Perioperative Medicine and Intensive Care, Central Staff, Pediatric Perioperative Medicine, Intensive Care and Transport, and Acute Repetitive Medicine. Within the cluster, you will collaborate closely on questions and projects related to your areas, while also having the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with HR partners in the other clusters as needed.
We work in newly built and modern office environments in Solna and Huddinge.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a generalist who enjoys the breadth and balance between operational and strategic work in the role of HR partner in relation to the needs of the operations.
- Has the ability to adapt your working methods with flexible problem-solving and skilled communication, sometimes in challenging situations.
- Possesses strong analytical skills and can quickly understand new situations.
- Has the ability to see improvement opportunities and new perspectives to develop yourself, our roles, and ways of working within HR.
- Is willing to drive development work within HR for both specific operations and the organization as a whole.
The role involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, so to thrive, it is important that you enjoy collaborating, are service-oriented, and are willing to share your knowledge.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Academic degree in HR or equivalent work experience assessed as comparable.
- At least 5 years of experience as an operational HR partner or in a similar role.
- Experience working both operationally and strategically with HR issues.
- Good knowledge and practical experience of labor law and union cooperation.
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Experience from public sector/authority/politically governed organization.
Meritorious:
- Previous experience of HR work within healthcare.
