In Sweden, approximately 2,100 dedicated employees work to deliver electricity, heat, and smart energy solutions to over one million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility and drive development forward, enabling more people to transition.
Welcome to E.ON – and become part of the energy transformation. In collaboration with our customers and partners, we ensure that electricity and heat are produced, used, and recycled more intelligently. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, E.ON is the place for you.
About Us
Society is on the brink of an energy revolution. E.ON's role is to help consumers, businesses, and cities distribute and use energy in the smartest possible way – with innovation, responsibility, and commitment. And most importantly: we do it together. The Controlling department's shared vision is to be the best partner for financial management and business optimization. This means we constantly seek new ways to strengthen collaboration with the business in financial decisions, adapt management to a changing environment, and develop our own processes through digitalization and learning.
About the Position
As a Business Controller, you'll become part of a team with high financial expertise and strong business understanding – where collaboration and communication are natural parts of everyday work. You'll belong to the Energy Controlling area within our Financial Planning & Analysis team.
Together, you'll be responsible for analyzing, reporting, and forecasting the company's gross margin, including revenues, costs, and network losses – but most importantly, developing and improving how we do it. We've already taken significant steps in our digitalization journey and are now seeking someone who wants to drive development further. You'll work closely with both your colleagues in the controlling team and the business, focusing on following up forecasts and analyses that create business value.
The work includes:
• Driving and further developing processes and models related to financial management,
• Identifying and analyzing trends in the business, industry, and market,
• Contributing to the development of digital solutions and BI tools,
• Collaborating with different parts of the organization to understand and influence the business.
Your Experience
We believe you thrive in a role where analysis meets business and collaboration is the key to success. You have strong analytical skills and are curious about understanding the business holistically. You likely have an academic degree in economics, possibly at bachelor's or master's level, and several years of experience in controlling or similar work in a larger organization. You enjoy developing processes and working methods and have a great interest in how digital tools can simplify and improve the controlling function. Experience with QlikSense or similar BI tools is an advantage, as is experience with digitalization work or system development. Additionally, some knowledge of coding is a plus.
Above all, we're looking for someone who wants to contribute new perspectives and enjoys an environment where collaboration, lack of ego, and security are the foundations for success. You see development as a natural part of work and have a desire to drive improvements together with others.
At E.ON, we see technology and innovation as obvious parts of our daily life. We believe you'll appreciate working in a changing company and exploring new, smarter, and more sustainable ways of working. At the same time, you'll contribute to a culture where we share knowledge, support each other, and build relationships that help both the team and our customers succeed.
What's It Like Here?
You'll become part of a secure and committed team of nine colleagues working closely together. We have an open and permissive culture where we support and encourage each other while inspiring new thinking and taking bold steps.
Your future leader, Susanne Göransson, describes herself as an ego-free leader who sees opportunities rather than obstacles. She strongly values team spirit and is passionate about motivating, coaching, and creating engagement. She looks forward to welcoming someone who wants to help shape the future of controlling.
At E.ON, we actively work on inclusion - it's crucial for driving the energy transformation. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe work environment with meaningful tasks and good development opportunities. We continuously challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace where we hope you'll thrive.
We work towards a more sustainable energy society, but it's equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer great benefits to help you feel good and maintain a good work-life balance. These include working hour reductions higher than industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!
