About the Role
You will step into a managerial role with responsibility for a well-functioning operation that is well-staffed with high accessibility and engaged employees.
You will be part of the management team of the social services department and report directly to the head of social services.
As the operations manager for care and support in ordinary housing, health and medical care, as well as authority care and support, you will have overall responsibility for both service delivery and regulatory activities. The role includes:
- Personnel, work environment, financial, and operational responsibility
- Quality assurance, follow-up, as well as development and change work
- Being the immediate supervisor for unit managers in areas such as home care, home health care, rehabilitation, and regulatory activities. The units for meeting point activities and the digital service team are also included in the operational area.
- Promoting good collaboration with other departments, the region, and external actors
You will lead the operation towards set goals, focusing on quality, accessibility, and sustainability, from both a citizen and employee perspective.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Acts strategically and has the ability to lead and develop the operation into the future
- Is engaged, clear, analytical, and responsive
- Is structured and has the ability to plan, develop, and act based on given goals, assignments, and financial frameworks
- Can collaborate both within and outside the department
- Sees the whole picture and can help people grow in their roles, feel job satisfaction, pride, and contribute to the development of operations
- Has the ability to apply laws and regulations, based on your specific role, but also based on the conditions that apply to municipal/public operations
You have:
- A relevant higher education degree, e.g., social worker, nurse, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
- Experience as a manager in elderly care and/or health and medical care
- Good knowledge of the Social Services Act, the Health and Medical Services Act, and other relevant governing documents
- Experience in leading through other managers is an advantage
