Your Workplace In Härryda Municipality, we work to create good living conditions for our residents through a warm, safe, and professional approach. The Care and Support department is responsible for home care, day activities, short-term accommodation, and care homes – primarily for individuals aged 65 and older. Our care homes offer a safe and independent living environment where the elderly reside in their own apartments but have access to staff around the clock. The municipality has eight care homes, seven of which are operated by the municipality and one by Attendo. We also provide short-term placements for temporary needs for extensive care and support, home care for individuals who need assistance in daily life, and day activities that foster community, engagement, and relief for relatives. As the Operations Manager, you will be part of the management team of the social services, led by the sector manager for social services. The management team consists of eight dedicated colleagues, including the sector manager, who together create a safe and unpretentious environment focused on collaboration, a holistic perspective, and joint development. Management meetings are characterized by openness, dialogue, and a willingness to contribute to a sustainable and value-creating social service. Your Assignment As the Operations Manager for Care and Support, you will have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances within the area. You will supervise 15 unit managers and lead the operations based on political decisions and the municipality's goals. Your responsibilities include: • Ensuring high quality in our services and good resource utilization • Being a driving force in development, change, and improvement work • Creating participation and engagement within the organization • Contributing to the strategic work in preparation for the new social services act • Collaborating with other operations and stakeholders to create coherence and value for the municipality's residents Your leadership is characterized by courage, innovation, and decisiveness. You see opportunities in change and are motivated to lead other leaders in a complex and socially important operation. Requirements for the Position We are looking for someone who has: • Relevant higher education in social work, health care, or a related field • Several years of leadership experience within social services or a closely related field • Experience working in a politically governed organization • Good knowledge of the upcoming new social services act • The ability to create a positive work environment, drive development, and engage your employees You are a confident and clear leader with good collaborative skills and an understanding of the importance of a holistic perspective. It is therefore advantageous if you have experience as a manager of managers. You have good knowledge of Swedish and express yourself well in both speech and writing.
