Our courage to change is significant, and since October 2020, we have been engaged in an important development and change initiative aimed at increasing equity in children's and students' knowledge development and learning environments. We are now seeking an Operations Manager for primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, and preschool classes who wants to work deeply with change. With us, there is a fantastic opportunity to make a real contribution! **Responsibilities** As the Operations Manager, you will be part of the education administration's management team and participate in the overall and strategic work to develop Trollhättan's primary schools. In your role as Operations Manager, you will have personnel, financial, and operational responsibilities and report to the Head of Administration. You will work in a team with another Operations Manager, and together you will lead the principals in strengthening the quality and equity of education for all students. The education administration has a well-developed systematic quality and work environment management system. The main focus of the Operations Manager's role is to lead the principals in this work with clear and trust-based leadership. The work should be conducted close to operations and strategically to contribute to an organization that, through analysis and professionalism, is in constant development based on existing needs. The education administration works to provide all children and students with an equitable preschool and school experience. As the Operations Manager, you will lead the ongoing efforts to enhance teaching quality with equity as the starting point. This focus underpins all operational development and strategic work. As the Operations Manager, you will provide support and conditions for the principals. The goal is to create value for those we serve – the students – in line with the priorities set by the municipal council and the education committee. **Qualifications** We are looking for someone who wants to collaborate closely within a leadership team. You work selflessly with the team, administrative leadership, and principals. Together, you drive and develop the operations through systematic quality work. You work openly, constructively, and courageously, creating participation and joy in the workplace. You see the bigger picture and understand your responsibilities in relation to other operations, administrations, and the surrounding world. Your leadership actions should be based on a scientific approach, and you need to have strong analytical and communication skills. You should have a process-oriented leadership style and involve your employees in the overarching work. A good understanding of organization and finance is important, as you, along with your fellow Operations Manager, will lead ongoing efforts to adapt the organization to current economic conditions. Candidates for this position should have solid experience as a manager with responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances, combined with experience in educational activities. You have served as a leader in a larger, complex organization, preferably politically governed, and have experience in financial and operational management at a strategic level. A good understanding of school operations and its legislation, municipal governance, and the market's conditions and logic within the education sector is essential. We prefer candidates with experience leading through subordinate managers. An open, transparent, and inviting communication climate is crucial for success, and fostering psychological safety is a given. We expect you to have an academic education, preferably with a principal training or other school leadership education.
