The Assistance Unit is part of the social services' operations, where authority practices are included. The Assistance Unit currently consists of 13 employees who work to provide support and care to children, families, young people, and adults living or situated in the municipality, focusing on the needs of the users. We strive to maintain a high quality in investigations and documentation.
We are looking for an engaged and driven operations manager for our Assistance Unit. As operations manager, you will have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and overseeing the unit's work with authority practices in elderly care and support for individuals with disabilities. You will lead a team of competent employees and work closely with them on a daily basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of operations manager, you will collaborate professionally with other units within the department and administration. You will ensure good service and legally sound processing in collaboration with your team members. Cooperation will also take place with other internal and external partners. As operations manager, you will have independent responsibility for personnel, finances, and development work within your operations.
The operations include individual and family social services in its entirety, outpatient and treatment services, assistance handling, and LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) handling. You will report directly to the head of social services.
Since this position involves a high degree of teamwork, you should appreciate daily interaction in the workplace.
This position requires a high level of physical presence and offers limited opportunities for remote work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates for this position should have extensive experience in social work and a higher education deemed relevant to the role.
You should have experience in case handling within the field as well as managerial experience. As a manager, you are expected to lead, inspire, and motivate your staff and coach them for development. Keeping yourself updated on research and development in your area is a given, as is being structured and clear in your communication, both verbal and written. The employer places great emphasis on personal suitability, and a driver’s license is required.
We want you to have a clear development focus as we undergo a transition to the new social services act coming in 2025, as well as a genuine interest and engagement in addressing the challenges facing social services in the short and long term. You possess good self-awareness, are calm and methodical, and have the ability to think strategically.

The salary range for this position is between 52,000 - 57,000 SEK/month full-time. We apply individual salary setting based on your experience and competence.
