Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) is part of Group Finance, responsible for ensuring that financial performance is accurately reflected for Business Areas, Truck Divisions, Group Functions, and legal entities. FCA also provides local tax administration and compliance, as well as global shared services through delivery centers in Accounting Services, focusing on quality and process-efficient service delivery. What you will do in your new role
As a VAT Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant VAT reporting for Swedish Volvo legal entities. Your main responsibilities will include preparing VAT returns and reports, supporting foreign VAT registrations, and handling excise duties. You will work closely with colleagues across the organization, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
In this role, you will ensure that all VAT reporting meets Swedish regulations, Swedish GAAP, and internal AB Volvo guidelines and quality standards. You will also actively contribute to the ongoing improvement and digitalization of our VAT compliance processes, helping to drive efficiency and innovation within the department.

Your future team
You will be joining the FCA Group & Sweden team of VAT Specialists, reporting to the Manager of Tax and VAT Specialists. You will have a broad network of colleagues within FCA and the Volvo Group. You will have a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills and competencies alongside a team of highly skilled and dedicated colleagues. The VAT team is responsible for ensuring high-quality and compliant VAT accounting and reporting. Currently, our team consists of six VAT specialists.

Qualifications required for the position
* A university degree in Business Administration or a related field.
* At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, or relevant experience from the Swedish Tax Authorities.
* Strong grasp of financial processes and systems.
* Excellent command of both written and spoken Swedish and English.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
* Experience with SAP Master Finance is beneficial, but not mandatory.
* Experience or knowledge of excise duties is an asset, though not required.
