Västanviks Folk High School is in an exciting phase of development and is seeking a full-time operations developer who wants to help shape the future. We particularly welcome those who can translate ideas into action and thrive in an environment where change and creativity are a natural part of daily life. **About the position** We are facing an exciting development where we wish to broaden our operations with an increased focus on rentals, conferences, events, and tourism in the Siljan area. We are now looking for an operations developer who wants to take a holistic approach to our continued development and drive it forward together with us. In this role, you will have broad responsibility for further developing, streamlining, and coordinating the operations based on our existing infrastructure – folk high school, preschool, property, restaurant, as well as guest house and conference. You will work closely with the principal and share leadership responsibilities with her. Together, you will lead an organization of approximately 30 employees. The role requires you to work independently, with a business-oriented and results-driven approach, while also having the ability to inspire, collaborate, and create engagement throughout the organization. **Main responsibilities** - Serve as a manager and be part of the leadership team alongside the principal and CFO - Be responsible for operations related to rentals, conferences, events, and tourism - Drive and develop existing business areas, with a particular focus on these sectors - Collaborate with the principal on issues related to the school's educational activities - Plan and implement projects related to education, tourism, and the visitor industry - Develop collaborations and networks with partners, external stakeholders, and suppliers - Be responsible for marketing and visibility of operations across relevant channels - Ensure quality and efficient routines within the operations - Drive and implement strategic initiatives to strengthen the organization’s results and attractiveness - Budget and resource planning, as well as monitoring the organization's goals and performance **Desired qualifications** - Experience in leadership, preferably within education or similar sectors - Strong knowledge of the tourism industry in Dalarna, and preferably experience in property development - Solid education in project management, business development, finance, or equivalent experience - Documented experience in leading change and development work - Experience in marketing and communication in relevant channels - Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Digital competency and familiarity with using IT tools for planning and monitoring - Experience in deaf competence (preferable) - Knowledge of sign language (preferable) **Personal qualities** We hope you are a driven team player with a positive attitude towards challenges.
