Welcome to the Intermediate Care Unit, IMA, Gävle Hospital. Intermediate care is a new service and care level in the region, created to improve quality and patient safety. It is care for patients who need more advanced help than can be provided in a ward but do not require intensive care.
The unit has 5 care beds and approximately 25 employees. It belongs to the Anesthesia Department but is primarily staffed with physicians from Internal Medicine. IMA plays a crucial role in many care chains, and collaboration with other departments is essential.
IMA has been in operation for just over a year. Work on establishment and development is ongoing. The goal is to open additional care beds in the future and to be able to care for all adult somatic patients requiring a higher level of care.
We are now seeking someone who wants to lead the implementation and development of this important form of care.
DUTIES
As a Care Unit Manager, you will lead daily operations and help shape the unit's content, structure, and working methods. In addition, you will be responsible for employees, work environment, and finances. You will have a medical director, chief secretary, quality coordinator, and HR support by your side. You will report to the Deputy Department Head and closely collaborate with care unit managers within your own and other departments.
As a Care Unit Manager, you will:
• be responsible for collaborations both within and outside the care unit
• create conditions for an attractive workplace through dialogue, participation, and skills development
• be part of the Anesthesia Department management team
• contribute to the unit's future development
With us, you will:
