Mark Workshop East is a department within the Mark Workshops. MvE East has approximately 65 employees, operating in Eksjö, Linköping, and Kvarn. We perform maintenance on the Armed Forces' ground equipment and deliver technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, disassembly/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material inspection. For more information about what Mark Workshop does, check out this link: https://youtu.be/jDWtiZdUfSk Main Responsibilities As a weapon technician, you will primarily work with preventive/corrective maintenance and repairs of weapons. You will be part of a team of about 20 employees and report directly to the section manager. We are currently seeking two weapon technicians for MvE East, one based in Kvarn and one based in Malmen/Linköping. Initially, the work and training will take place in Kvarn. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications • Completed at least a two or three-year upper secondary education with a focus on technology or equivalent qualifications acquired through professional experience deemed comparable by the employer. • Relevant experience in mechanical/precision mechanics work. • At least a Class B driver's license. Personal Characteristics You are a team player who works well both independently and as part of a group. As a weapon technician, you are structured, decisive, and capable of making accurate assessments and prioritizations. You are flexible and can easily adjust your focus and adapt to a changing environment. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude towards work and the organization. Meritorious • Previous experience working as a technician or mechanic in a similar field. • Experience in maintenance of weapons or precision mechanics. • Experience from the Armed Forces and its routines is preferred. • Experience and knowledge of workshop operations and material maintenance in the Armed Forces. • Forklift license. Other Employment Type: Permanent position commencing with a 6-month probationary period. Employment Level: Full-time, daytime – varying work hours may apply.
