You will be part of the Hitachi Energy HVDC Installation Department, which is responsible for executing all mechanical and electrical installation activities in our delivery projects worldwide. The department also supports tendering and sales by providing technical input and assists the engineering office in developing the design.
As an HVDC Valve site supervisor, you must be willing to travel extensively, frequently, and on short notice. You must also be a European citizen.

Your responsibilities
• Your primary mission will be to supervise the installation of HVDC Valves and Valve Cooling systems on-site in high voltage global projects.
• Prepare and plan installation activities in the early stages of projects.
• Manage and guide subcontractors on-site to ensure the efficient and cost-effective completion of all installation activities, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of installation activities on-site.
• Coordinate installation activities with the Site Manager/Installation Manager and other internal and external stakeholders on-site.
• Collaborate with the engineering office to ensure the necessary documentation is utilized on-site during execution and provide mark-ups for as-built project documentation.
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external suppliers.
• Engage in hands-on work related to the maintenance and service of HVDC Valves.

Your background
• You possess a technical education, preferably with a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or have gained prior experience in electrical or mechanical installation work on large-scale projects.
• You have at least 3-4 years of work experience in a relevant field.
• Experience in a previous supervisory position is advantageous.
• Previous experience in electrical and/or mechanical installation is required.
• Experience in HVDC, FACTS, or Substation projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with the MS Office package is necessary.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential; additional languages are a plus.
