Psychiatry Northwest is a university clinic located in the northwestern part of the Stockholm County healthcare area (SLSO).
Our mission is to provide specialized psychiatric care in both outpatient and inpatient settings to all individuals aged 18 and older who are registered in Stockholm County. We have approximately 550 employees on monthly contracts. Our goal is to offer high-quality treatments to our patients while simultaneously creating a pleasant and inspiring work environment for our staff.

Our department includes nurses, social workers, doctors, and caregivers of different ages, varying professional experiences, and cultural backgrounds. We primarily accept patients with psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, paranoia, and delusional disorders. Our main focus is to work in accordance with a person-centered and cohesive care process. The work is dynamic and challenging, as we receive patients around the clock both within HSL and LPT, ensuring no two days are alike. We always strive to create a pleasant and safe care environment where the patient's needs are prioritized.
The department is located at Danderyd Hospital.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Unit Manager, you will, in collaboration with the Unit Manager, among other things:
- Support and motivate staff in their daily work to ensure they thrive and can provide safe patient care.
- Be responsible for staffing issues together with the staffing assistant, both in terms of long-term planning and urgent needs.
- Schedule and manage payroll documentation in the payroll system Heroma.
- Participate in the recruitment and orientation of new employees.
- Approve invoices.
- Handle incoming deviations, complaints, and feedback.
- Participate in clinical work in the department as needed.
- Replace the Unit Manager in their absence.
Employment Type:
Fixed-term employment for one year. Full-time, 40 hours/week.
Qualifications:
You hold a Swedish nursing license, preferably with specialized training in psychiatry. Previous experience in psychiatric care is a merit. As a person, you are positive, solution-oriented, humble, and have an ease in collaborating with others. You have a genuine interest in psychiatric care, work environment, and patient safety. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.

- A background check will be applied before the hiring decision according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to relevant directives, which is carried out by occupational health services before hiring.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
