**About the Role and Your Responsibilities** As a janitor, your main task is to contribute to a well-functioning external and internal working environment for children, students, and staff at our preschools and schools. With a professional and service-oriented approach, the janitor will meet the operational needs for support related to property maintenance. The tasks are varied and include everything from alarm and lock management, waste management, and reporting issues, to the installation of fixtures and slip prevention measures. The janitor follows procedures concerning self-checks and serves as the point of contact for the property owner. The employee takes significant responsibility in systematic fire protection work. We operate with a high level of service, good collaboration, and respectful interaction. **We Are Looking For You** We are looking for someone who has completed secondary education and has prior experience in construction work or property maintenance, as well as a valid driver's license (Class B). Experience in fire safety and security rounds, as well as lock and alarm systems, is an advantage. Working hours are scheduled during regular operational hours, which requires that you can be flexible and enjoy having staff and children/students around you while you work. You are self-sufficient in your work but are also part of a team where we naturally help each other when needed. As a janitor, you take pride in your profession and carry out your work with great accuracy and quality. You need to have basic digital skills. You must also have good knowledge of the Swedish language to understand both verbal and written instructions. The role currently has its base at Svaleboskolan. There are a total of 10 different units belonging to the work area. This work is carried out together with a colleague, where both will have a close collaboration but can also work individually. The Genarp-Veberöd service area is part of the operational group for Facilities and Meals, whose main purpose is to ensure good service in cleaning, kitchen, and janitorial services across the municipality's preschools and schools. In the Child and School Administration, we work to create equity and good conditions for all children and students within our preschools, primary schools, and adapted primary schools to reach their goals.
