About the Role
As a maintenance technician, you will work in two of Vardaga's elderly care homes in Kungsbacka: Ekhaga Care Home and Vickan Care Home in Onsala.
The position involves varied tasks and requires you to be both practically oriented and service-minded. You will work independently but in close collaboration with other staff members. Work hours are daytime on weekdays and every other weekend. Fixed schedule with full-time hours of 37 hours per week.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
• Basic property maintenance, such as upkeep and simple repairs
• Facility management and handling urgent matters
• Purchasing, ordering, and receiving deliveries for departments
• Moving and assembling furniture
• Transporting food and materials between care homes
• Managing environmental stations, including chemicals and recycling
• Participation in environmental work and environmental audits
• Monthly checks and documentation for systematic fire protection work
• Contact with property owners and internal/external partners
• Using computer for orders, error reporting, and documentation
• Following safety routines and conducting risk assessments related to property and work environment
A company vehicle is available for transportation and tasks between units.
About Ekhaga and Vickan Care Homes
Located in Onsala, Ekhaga Care Home has a total of 94 apartments, and Vickan Care Home has 40 apartments. Dedicated and knowledgeable staff work here with individuals requiring care due to physical illness or dementia. These facilities are operated on contract by Vardaga.
Your Experience and Skills
We are seeking someone with experience in practical property maintenance or similar tasks. You are meticulous, flexible, and enjoy working both independently and collaboratively. You have good organizational skills, are service-oriented, and can identify what needs to be done.
You communicate easily with residents and colleagues and feel responsible for contributing to a safe and comfortable environment.
We Prefer Candidates With:
• Experience in property maintenance, repairs, or similar practical tasks
• Good computer skills – managing digital orders and documentation
• Class B driver's license – required for transportation between units
• Excellent Swedish communication skills, both verbal and written
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing work (considered advantageous)
