**Description**
Vänersborg Municipality is now seeking a dedicated caretaker for Property and Services.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide support related to the digital workplace, managing digital tools to assist operations with basic IT issues, connecting certain IT equipment and welfare technology
- Handle incoming error reports and work orders
- Property maintenance as per the property owner's requirements and agreements with our clients
- Plan and execute maintenance systematically
- Maintain furnishings and equipment
- Prepare premises and equipment
- Customer contacts with, for example, managers and employees
- Some lock and alarm management
- Actions in case of vandalism and burglary
- Environmentally focused waste management
- Preventive damage work
**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone with a high school diploma in a relevant field, such as construction, property management, caretaking, technology, or extensive and versatile work experience in the area. You have basic IT skills and are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
We prefer candidates who have experience with case management systems. Since the position involves some physically demanding tasks, good physical fitness is essential. You take responsibility for your own and shared tasks and have the ability to plan independently and collaboratively. You adapt easily to new situations, are flexible with rapid changes, can prioritize, and have a strong sense of service.
You enjoy working alongside colleagues and contribute to a positive collaborative climate both internally and externally. You want to work in environments with educators and children, such as in a preschool/school. It is essential to have a security mindset in both internal and external environments. You can assess risks in work and environments and work preventively for a safe environment for all. Advanced IT skills are a merit.
**Conditions**
According to the Education Act, individuals must present a police background check before being employed to work in premises where we have preschool activities, schools, and school-age childcare. You can order this from the Police's website.

Our properties host many different operations that are important for the residents, businesses, and visitors of Vänersborg Municipality, such as schools, preschools, special accommodations, sports/recreation facilities, and administrative buildings. These encompass over a hundred properties, spread throughout the municipality, covering approximately 280,000 m².
The operation is responsible for the management, operation, and service of the municipality's properties, including cleaning, property managers, caretakers, carpenters, and operations technicians. Within Property and Services, there are also land and development, procurement officers, project managers for new and renovation projects, BAB administrators, and reception.
Energy efficiency, strategic local supply, internal rental agreements, and operational economics are other responsibilities. The operation has about 125 employees and four unit managers.
