About this role

Job Description Lidköping is in an expansive phase with several major infrastructure projects and significant reinvestments, and an increased need for operation and maintenance of water and sewage networks. You will become part of the Water-Sewage unit, a fantastic team with forward momentum and extensive experience in water and sewage technical supply systems. You will join a group of four water and sewage investigators within the Pipeline Network unit. Water-Sewage currently consists of approximately 40 employees and is led by a Business Area Manager for Water-Sewage and two subordinate unit managers, one for Water Treatment Plants and one for Pipeline Networks. Together, we are responsible for the operation and maintenance of Lidköping's water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, pipeline networks, pump stations, pressure boosting stations, and the development of our water and sewage infrastructure. Job Responsibilities A water and sewage investigator is the water and sewage engineer's extended arm. In your role, you will work extensively in the field with significant customer contact. In the planning phase, you will investigate and inventory water and sewage objects, ensure their functionality, and make the digital water and sewage map more complete - a basis that will be further handled in project planning. As a water and sewage investigator, you will also focus heavily on property connection controls, which is a significant part of the unit's work addressing infiltration water issues in the pipeline network. You will conduct investigations including pipeline camera inspections and flushing, inventory and customer contacts during heavy rainfall, leak detection (e.g., during acute water leaks). Water shutoffs, both urgent and planned, are also part of the role. Planned shutoffs might include maintenance work on the pipeline network or water meter replacements. As a water and sewage investigator, you are also responsible for oil/grease separators and wastewater network sampling. You will be involved in all types of work, investigations, and needs that may occur daily in the Water-Sewage unit. You will closely collaborate with colleagues and adjacent technical areas and departments. Documentation is a central part of the position. Emergency on-call duty may be included in the role. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with relevant technical education or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer. You should have experience in the construction and infrastructure industry. Work experience in water and sewage facilities and similar investigative work is meritorious. GIS knowledge is also advantageous; experience with VA-banken or EDP Future systems is a plus. Personal Characteristics You are flexible, social, service-oriented, and quality-conscious. You are driven, energetic, and have a strong interest in technology. You enjoy working towards set goals and deadlines. You have a natural aptitude for planning, structuring, and organizing your work. You are accustomed to coordinating and driving investigations and projects. Working both independently and in a group is second nature to you. You thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by strong growth. Since much of our documentation is in Swedish, fluency in spoken and written Swedish is required. You have excellent communication skills in both speech and writing. Our internal and external contacts are built on collaboration and good relationships, so we place great importance on personal qualities.
